Project Description: Students worked this semester to create their own thriftshop, aiming to create a space for high schoolers around Taipei to come together, sell their work, and form a new community.  At the beginning of the semester, students explored different questions around community building for teens, and kept coming back to the questions of how to meet people from other high schools who had similar interests, and also how to empower young artists and entrepeneurs.  Thus, the thriftshop was born.  In music class, students learned how to DJ and record audio live. At each thrift shop students had the opportunity to DJ in the background. In media class, students created their own pieces of art, stickers, and improved their social media marketing skills by creating their own brand, accounts, and promotions.  The thriftshop occurred two times throughout the semester, had a following of over 500 people on Social Media, and sold countless merchandise and art.
